Officer of the Day Program The Officer of the Day program is in place to ensure that there is a “most responsible person” at the club in the event of visitors arriving, an emergency, or breach of security. Please review the information in the Office of the Day binder at the OD station in the clubhouse. If you are unsure of your responsibilities, please contact me or ask a senior member who will gladly review the checklist and duties. There is an OD calendar on the web site to check the duty schedule and to help you finding an alternative if you are not able to complete your scheduled shift. Officer of the Day Workhour Entitlements Responsibilities and Documentation All members are expected to participate (see Rules and Regulations: 10.1). For each program, members are asked to sign up for at least one shift per membership, but no more than two shifts during the Summer Program and two shifts during the Winter Program. Both member and associate are expected to be present to be credited for 6 work hours per Winter session. Summer is one person and 4 hour credit. One more shift may be selected if the schedule is not filled by Sailpast. Please print your name clearly on the calendar. If the name cannot be read, no hours can be assigned! Once you have signed up for a shift, you are responsible to fulfill the duties, or to find your own alternative. Check the OD calendar on the web site or in the OD Binder in the clubhouse for names of members who may be able to trade with you. The duties are outlined on the OD report page. Please complete the report, and sign in and out. Any significant incidents should be reported immediately to a member of the executive or to the OD coordinator. The contact information is on the OD report. Please do not fill out a work-hours slip. The hours are submitted at the end of every month from the OD reports. There will be a fine of $50.00 (see Rules and Regulations: 10.3) assessed for not completing your scheduled shift. This will be noted and addressed by the executive. Winter Program: 2011-2012 The program is running four evenings a week: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm (6:00 pm to 10:00 pm after April 15). Summer Program: 2012
The Program runs Sunday evening to Friday evening, 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with an occasional Saturday duty when a pre-arranged fleet of visitors is expected.
